The president of Fundación Códigos, Luis Seguessa: and their marketing manager, Graciela Grisolía, took the opportunity to raise awareness about the issue of climate change and introduced the foundation's new 2010 campaign: "COMBUSTIÓN CERO, global initiative for electric cars" which already has several supporters on www.fundacioncodigos.org and on the Facebook social network.
The idea was to raise awareness among people about the state of the planet, to consider that resources are finite, that the pollution caused by cars and untreated industrial effluents is significant, and that climate change is already a reality. Luis Seguessa:, head of Fundación Códigos explains that while all global conventions focus on gas emissions, this is just one aspect of the problem. "There is a bigger factor contributing to warming, such as the consumption of oxygen by engines", Luis explains, "And these habits that pollute the environment need to change. The use of electric cars can be a solution for ZERO COMBUSTION“.
With that premise, to engage and interest young people in these important issues, Códigos organized this “Concierto por el Planeta”. "The goal is to get young people involved and engaged in change before it's too late", says Seguessa. Meanwhile, the members of "Fecha de Vencimiento”, a local band, took care to convey the message through the lyrics of their songs. In fact, the first album of this band from Maldonado is titled "21/12/2012," reflecting the date of the Mayan calendar associated with the possibility of the end of the world, as depicted in the film 2012.
Corrado and Giordano joined the effort in defense of a better world. "This is a cause for all of us, and we need the message to reach people! If you agree with stopping climate change, JOIN COMBUSTION ZERO!" suggests the Fundación Códigos, and Fecha de Vencimiento provides the music.
