El veinte por ciento de este aire es ox\u00edgeno puro que se toma de la capa de ozono. La cifra es tan grande que no da tiempo a la vegetaci\u00f3n para reemplazar esta p\u00e9rdida\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Luis Seguessa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa capa de ozono no es solo una reserva de ox\u00edgeno, sino tambi\u00e9n una cobertura natural que protege la tierra del intenso fr\u00edo del espacio exterior y de la potencia del sol. A medida que la perdemos, estamos experimentando cambios bruscos de temperatura durante el d\u00eda, y esto se volver\u00e1 m\u00e1s com\u00fan\u00bb, indic\u00f3. \u00abAdem\u00e1s, sin una capa de ozono, la naturaleza pierde su equilibrio, y por eso experimentamos graves problemas clim\u00e1ticos, como inundaciones, sequ\u00edas, tsunamis y el deshielo de los casquetes polares\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, Seguessa sostuvo que \u00abla velocidad a la que se est\u00e1 perdiendo la capa de ozono ocurre con progresi\u00f3n geom\u00e9trica y no aritm\u00e9tica, como se pensaba, y en muy poco tiempo la gran fuente natural de suministro de ox\u00edgeno del planeta, que es la capa de ozono, se agotar\u00e1\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Destac\u00f3 la importancia de que las empresas automotrices reemplacen los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna por motores el\u00e9ctricos u otras tecnolog\u00edas ecol\u00f3gicamente sostenibles que no consuman aire, y de que cada ser humano (ni\u00f1os, adultos y ancianos) se comprometa a plantar al menos siete \u00e1rboles para aumentar el volumen de ox\u00edgeno en la atm\u00f3sfera.<\/p>\n<p>Luis Seguessa, quien lleva m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os estudiando fen\u00f3menos clim\u00e1ticos y es l\u00edder y fundador de la Fundaci\u00f3n C\u00f3digos (www.fundacioncodigos.org) con sede en Punta del Este, Uruguay, concluy\u00f3: \u00abNuestros hijos y nietos tienen derecho a heredar un mundo como el que nosotros recibimos\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Express\u00a0IndiaPublicado: Martes, 13 de mayo de 2008 a las 09:48 hrs IST Uruguay, 12 de mayo: \u2014 El investigador uruguayo Luis Seguessa declar\u00f3 recientemente en conferencias de prensa realizadas en Am\u00e9rica Latina que el motor de combusti\u00f3n interna es el principal culpable de la degradaci\u00f3n de la capa de ozono, el calentamiento global [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":9162,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"give_campaign_id":0,"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"<div>The Financial Express\u00a0India<\/div>\n<div>Posted: Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 0948 hrs IST<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Uruguay, May 12: ---- <\/strong>The Uruguayan researcher Luis Seguessa recently stated in press conferences held in Latin America, that the internal combustion engine is the chief culprit for the degradation of the ozone layer, global warming and climate change, not so much for the gas emissions into the atmosphere as for the huge amount of oxygen they consume.\"A vehicle consumes an average of between 50 and 100 liters of air per second and, taking into account the current car-driving population, that represents 20,000 million liters of air which are consumed per second on the planet and which are returned to the atmosphere half burnt and in explosive form. Twenty percent of this air is pure oxygen which is taken from the ozone layer. The figure is so big that it does not give vegetation time to replace this loss,\" stated Luis Seguessa.\"The ozone layer is not just an oxygen reserve, but also a natural covering which protects the earth from the intense cold of outer space and the power of the sun.
